Kansas City's Most Iconic Wedding Venues
One of my favorite parts of being a Kansas City wedding photographer is getting to shoot in so many gorgeous, one-of-a-kind spaces around this city. If you're just starting your venue search, here are a handful of local favorites — from historic mansions to industrial-chic warehouses — that never fail to photograph beautifully.
Loose Mansion
101 E Armour Blvd, Kansas City, MO
A stunning, all-inclusive historic mansion in Midtown with timeless architecture and genuinely gorgeous natural light for getting-ready photos. The Carriage House makes for an easy, relaxed getting-ready space, and the grounds give you that classic, romantic backdrop without needing much added decor.
The Bardot
1616 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO
Three full floors of event space, including a rooftop with skyline views for cocktail hour and a chandelier-lit reception space. If you want variety in your gallery — moody speakeasy shots, golden-hour rooftop portraits, and glamorous reception photos — The Bardot delivers all three in one location.
The Grand Hall at Power & Light
1330 Baltimore Ave, Kansas City, MO
Downtown, grand, and undeniably elegant. Marble details, soaring ceilings, and gold accents make this a dream for couples who want a regal, ballroom-style celebration in the heart of the city.
The Gatsby on Oak
Roaring-twenties glamour with original hardwood floors and ornate detailing. This is the venue for couples who want old-Hollywood drama in every frame.
The Oliver Building
1321 W 13th St, Kansas City, MO
Located in the historic West Bottoms, this multi-level industrial space has exposed brick and an art-gallery feel that photographs incredibly well, especially for couples who want a more editorial, moody gallery.
The Everly Event Space
210 W 19 Terrace, Kansas City, MO
Tucked into the Crossroads District, The Everly balances industrial charm with modern elegance — think exposed brick paired with tons of natural light.
Cellar 222
222 W 20th St, Kansas City, MO
An intimate, wine-cellar-inspired space in the Crossroads with a working fireplace and warm, rustic-elegant detailing. A great option for couples prioritizing a smaller, cozier guest count.
The Abbott
1901 Cherry St, Kansas City, MO
Also in the Crossroads Arts District, The Abbott brings rooftop skyline views, chandeliers, and industrial architecture together for a genuinely striking backdrop — and it comfortably handles larger guest counts too.
A Note on Booking Your Venue
Every one of these spaces books up fast, especially for peak wedding season (May–October), so if one catches your eye, I'd reach out to tour sooner rather than later. And once your venue is locked in, let's talk timeline.
